THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS

Thank you for deciding to apply for your child’s enrollment at Oregon Family School. 

Step 1:  Complete the Plan to Enroll form for the 2025/2026 school year. You will receive a confirmation of completion of this step, as well as instructions for Step 2 of the process, within 24 hours.  This time frame may be delayed by a weekend or if staff is away for a holiday.

Open Enrollment for the 2026/2027 school year is now open. Complete the 2026/2027 Plan to enroll form for to register for next year.

Step 2: This step provides an informational video as well as a link to the student handbook that you will need to review and sign.  If applicable, you will also receive a link to set up an appointment with our Executive Director.  Once you have signed and agreed to the policies and procedures outlined in the student handbook, as well as attended the meeting (if applicable), you will receive the information for Step 3 of the process.

Step 3:  This step provides you with the Enrollment Application.  If you are enrolling a student in K-8th grade, you will also receive a link to complete a Reading Survey as well as the ILP form.  If you are enrolling a student in 9th-11th grade, you will also receive a link to the Family Agreement.  All of these forms must be completed before you will receive the information for Step 4 of the process.

Step 4:

If you are enrolling a student in K-8th grade, step 4 includes a confirmation of your enrollment, confirmation of community day placement, and information regarding immunizations (if applicable).  There may be additional information requested from you.  At this point, however, your enrollment is complete.
If you are enrolling a student in 9th-11th grade, step 4 will be selecting your six classes.  You will receive a copy of our current Schedule of Classes to assist with this process.  Once those six classes have been received, you will receive the information for Step 5.
Step 5: For those enrolling in 9th-11th grade, step 5 will be a meeting with an advisor.  During this brief meeting, your student will talk with their advisor and confirm the class selections that you requested during Step 4.  Once classes have been confirmed, you will receive Step 6.
Step 6: This step includes a confirmation of your enrollment, a confirmation of the classes that were chosen, and information regarding immunizations (if applicable).  There may be additional information requested from you.  At this point, however, your enrollment is complete. During the spring Open Enrollment process, steps 4-6 may vary.

RE-ENROLLMENT & LOTTERY

The re-enrollment process for the upcoming school year begins in February. Current families will be given the opportunity to complete an Plan to Re-enroll Form which can be found by contacting info@oregonfamilyschool.com. This will hold student spaces for the following school year and provide an opportunity to declare plan to enroll any siblings. Siblings of currently enrolled students will have priority in enrollment. In March, OFS will begin an open enrollment process. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of student spaces available as designated by the OFS charter, a lottery process will be instituted followed by a wait list for students wanting to be admitted when a space becomes available.
